New results: modeling properties of graphdiyne nanoribbons

We report calculations of the electronic and vibrational properties of graphdiyne nanoribbons. Gamma-Graphdiyne is a 2D crystal made by sp2 carbon rings connected through sp linear links. By cutting graphdiyne along specific direction it is possible to obtain nanoribbons. Raman and IR spectra calculated for nanoribons of different width show interesting confinement effects. This paper has been accepted for publication on Physical Review Materials (American Physical Society – APS).
